Located about 16 miles north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Aquatore Park is situated in an idyllic site near the Cloquet River. The park is made up of two distinct areas – East Park, which contains the majority of the amenities and activities, and West Park, which boasts a variety of trails and natural areas. East Park is home to numerous recreational opportunities, including fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, and disc golf. Its two popular swimming areas – Aquatore Beach and Mabele Beach – are great places to soak up the sun and relax. With its sandy beaches, stunning views of the Cloquet River, and a kids’ playground, Aquatore Beach is a favorite among visitors. On the park’s eastern side, visitors will find plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and explore nature. The Land of Lakes Trail is a nine-mile loop packed with potential discoveries, such as birds, deer, coyotes, and other wildlife. Additionally, hikers can wander the five-mile Northwoods Trail, which takes them through forested wetlands as well as scenic ravines and hills.
